BEHIND THE WORK

HELLO.
I'M ANDREW.

I'm a self-taught artist based in Glasgow. I started painting in my late thirties, initially as a way of finding some peace from a mind that rarely stays quiet.

What began as something personal has developed into a way of exploring the things I find fascinating about people: their emotions, their contradictions and their stories.

My paintings move between darkness and humour, anxiety and exuberance. I like bold colours, heavy lines and work that makes people feel something.
